Eric Stein is a graduate student in the MA Interdisciplinary Humanities program at Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia. He has a BA Honours English, specializing in American Literature, theory, and creative writing, from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC. His current research is concerned with the ethico-political implications of language, and the mythic resonances of such, in Frank Herbert’s science-fiction classic Dune. He has also written on pop culture, film and television, and semiotic theory for the Mars’ Hill Student Journal at TWU, and his poetry has been published in the spaces literary journal.
